Amazon serves up 13-pound Gears of War Lancer rifle replicas

The Lancer (modeled above by Epic Games' Gears of War 2 design lead Cliff "Don't Call Me Cliffy B" Bleszinski) is a Cog soldier's most trusted weapon when fighting off swarms of the brutal Locust troopers. Now it can be yours, so you can run around the living room making chainsaw noises while dispensing the vulgar taunts that Marcus Fenix and his Gears sidekicks are known for. Luckily you don't have to make said noises yourself — the Lancer's trigger activates a meaty chainsaw riff accompanied by vibration. It's a bit lame that the chainsaw doesn't whir to life, though it's spattered with enough blood to make us happy. The Lancer is a mighty 36 inches long, 10 inches tall, 13 pounds and made from "weapons grade" plastic. The Lancer costs $140 by itself, or around $210 bundled with the limited edition Gears of War 2 package. Or buy it with this Locust figurine, who is unfortunately mid-headshot. The game doesn't come out until next month, but the Lancer would make an awesome addition to your Halloween costume and the Lancer won't ship until then, either.
